General BYO Drinks Information

Additional Notes on your food and drink supplies:
It is assumed that guests will board with their supplies at the start of the charter, however it may be possible to drop off your supplies to the boat before your agreed charter time on the following conditions:
- Must be at one of the times nominated by us on the DAY OF THE CHARTER only
- You are required to bring the food / drinks to the boat, where the crew will help load from the dock to the boat.
- We cannot accept late deliveries.
- Deliveries should be packed and labelled with the boat / time of charter. If not, we take no responsibility for incorrectly allocated / lost drinks.
- No crates, eskies or non-cardboard boxes will be accepted.
- We recommend clients include an inventory of their drinks, along with any instructions on how they would like service
- Additional charges apply for all other situations

Please make sure you tell him the Boat Name, and the Charter time and date.

Please ensure there is substantial food available to abide by the responsible service of alcohol. There's a 60cm fan forced oven onboard.

What happens in poor weather?
There is plenty of indoor luxury space and the boat is substantial to protect all guests. Cruises will go ahead in wet conditions unless dangerous conditions has been warned by the coast guards

Are there any additional limitations on guest numbers or dates permitted for BYO charters?
36 Guests.

Are plates, glasses / cups, cutlery included?
Yes all your F&B requirements are met (includes wine glasses, bottle openers and knife for cake). The vessel also offers premium catering options, or guest is free to organise their own caterer who the boat will liaise with and facilitate pre-delivery prior to boarding if required.

Are BYO spirits allowed?
Yes Spirits and Pre mixed Spirits allowed as long as there are mixes available.

Is ice provided onboard?
Yes, Ice is included. The vessel also offers BYO drinks at no extra charge. We have a premium drinks supplier that will assist guests order the drinks and deliver to the vessel at no cost. Pre-delivered drinks will be ready prior to boarding, iced and ready to serve.

Is there a BBQ onboard?
There is no BBQ on board. We do have a galley kitchen where we can warm food items if required

Is drinking water included?
Yes tap water is available

Can I dropoff supplies at the boat before the charter?
Yes, pre-deliveries to Jones Bay Wharf on the day of the charter is available.

What cool storage is there onboard?
Prometheus is equipped with 1x Large Fridge, 1x Large Esky and 1x Small Fridge.

Are glass bottles allowed onboard or just cans?
Glass bottles are allowed but consider bringing cans since they are lighter and safer since they won't smash.

Does the boat provide napkins/serviettes?
This is a consumable so we recommend bringing your own for BYO Charters.

Wharf Availability Advisory – Summer 2024/25
Wharf maintenance and limited wharf options in the CBD are causing challenges across the industry. This may lead to delays or limited availability at popular wharves.
CBD options: King St Wharf & Casino are popular however availability is limited.
Aquarium wharf is an option but please note delays can occur & boats may not provide extra time to compensate so we advise using other locations. Other wharfs that may experience unpredictable delays are Pirrama Park, Double Bay & Rose Bay.

What is the bond for?
The bond is taken incase there are damages caused by your group during your charter.
The no.1 cause for bond claims is broken toilets so please tell your guests not to flush things like wipes or tampons down the toilets - just a small amount of toilet paper is Ok.
Vomiting around the boat will incur fees. Don't bring Sparklers, confetti balloons, glitter (candles by request only) as they will stain the boat.

Can we bring a baby? Is there an age limit? Are they counted as guests?
Yes babies are allowed onboard - there is no age limit. Yes, kids of all ages are included in your guest count.
If you have young kids coming, please let us know in advance.

Are there any water toys onboard?
Yes, the vessel has an extra large 16m2 Floating netted pool ($200 hire) plus electric inflator for BYO water toys.

Smoking - is it permitted and are there any restrictions?
Yes, in designated areas, when the vessel is anchored. Otherwise $200 - $500 is charged to the bond for cleaning fee.

Is there a sound system and what connectivity is there?
Yes, 2 x Premium BOSE systems with indoor / outdoor speakers in both upper & lower decks. Connect with Bluetooth or AUX input (No WIFI)

Can we have a DJ?
Yes DJ must bring all equipment including speakers.

Is swimming allowed?
Yes, however guests swim at their own risk and only during daylight hours.

Footwear - are there any restrictions?
Shoes are NOT allowed on PROMETHEUS, except :
Non-marking, SOFT soled shoes ONLY
Heels with substantial heel
No black / Brown soles
This is to protect the flooring to ensure Prometheus is looking premium at all times. A $500 fee may be charged for non-compliance.

Where can we pickup and dropoff?
We have numerous wharf's around the Harbour for your convenience. Travel time charged for pickups / dropoff past Drummoyne Ferry Wharf or past Rose Bay Ferry Wharf

Are there any additional rules that apply to specific events (eg 21st Birthdays)?
Prometheus is happy to accept 21st birthday parties. The same RSA rules apply to all groups.

Any other rules the organisers and guests should know?
If there's toilet blockage, the following will be charged to the bond: minor blockage $200, major blockage (Tampons, Face Wipes etc $400)
