General BYO Food Information
Please bring a substantial amount of food to abide by RSA.
Nibbles are not considered substantial. All Plates cutlery etc are provided. Garbage bags included.

Are there any additional limitations on guest numbers or dates permitted for BYO charters?
No BYO charters Fri/Sat in Dec. NO BYO beverages for all Buck’s parties and all events with passenger numbers 40+.

What happens in poor weather?
We proceed in all weather unless the operations manager advises we cannot proceed (this is very unlikely)

Are plates, glasses / cups, cutlery included?
Yes, this is all included. We have both wine and champagne glasses.

Are BYO spirits allowed?
Yes on BYO Charters however the consumption of straight spirits/shots is not permitted

Is ice provided onboard?
Yes

Is there a BBQ onboard?
Yes, a large gas BBQ and the crew are happy to cook for you. Can still be used in the rain

Is drinking water included?
If opting for BYO beverages, then that applies to all beverages (alcohlic, non-alcoholic and drinking water). Otherwise, if opting for a beverage package then drinking water is included.

Can I dropoff supplies at the boat before the charter?
We can arrange prior access at Balmain/Pyrmont one hour before your cruise (depending on availability of the boat and crew). Heaven has a $250 fee for pre-access if you plan to decorate the boat (this fee does not include DJ pre-access; see below for DJ details). No fee if you are only dropping off dry food and beverage items and do not require access.

Fridges are located behind the bar.

Are glass bottles allowed onboard or just cans?
Glass bottles are allowed but consider bringing cans since they are lighter and safer since they won't smash.

Does the boat provide napkins/serviettes?
This is a consumable so we recommend bringing your own for BYO Charters.

Wharf Availability Advisory – Summer 2024/25
Wharf maintenance and limited wharf options in the CBD are causing challenges across the industry. This may lead to delays or limited availability at popular wharves.
CBD options: King St Wharf & Casino are popular however availability is limited.
Aquarium wharf is an option but please note delays can occur & boats may not provide extra time to compensate so we advise using other locations. Other wharfs that may experience unpredictable delays are Pirrama Park, Double Bay & Rose Bay.

What is the bond for?
The bond is taken incase there are damages caused by your group during your charter.
The no.1 cause for bond claims is broken toilets so please tell your guests not to flush things like wipes or tampons down the toilets - just a small amount of toilet paper is Ok.
Vomiting around the boat will incur fees. Don't bring Sparklers, confetti balloons, glitter (candles by request only) as they will stain the boat.

Can we bring a baby? Is there an age limit? Are they counted as guests?
Yes babies are allowed onboard - there is no age limit. Yes, kids of all ages are included in your guest count.
If you have young kids coming, please let us know in advance.

Are there any water toys onboard?
(daytime charters only) A floating water mat and paddleboards are available for hire for an additional cost.

Smoking - is it permitted and are there any restrictions?
Smoking is permitted for private charters in designated areas only. When the skipper conducts the safety briefing at the start of the cruise, these areas will be identified.

Is there a sound system and what connectivity is there?
Yes, there is a sound system with speakers throughout most of the boat which you can connect to via Bluetooth.
A laptop can be connected to the TV via a HDMI cable but you will need to bring the cable. There is no USB plug on the TV.

Can we have a DJ?
Yes - our inhouse DJ is $825 for 3-4 hours or you can BYO for a fee of $250 which includes pre-access (check the boat is available before booking). This fee applies to live music or entertainment and is not for other pre-access requirements like decorating or set up
There is sufficient power must bring all of your own equipment. Cancellation of inhouse DJ will have a 50% cancellation fee.

Footwear - are there any restrictions?
We ask that you avoid stilettos and black soled shoes where possible. For ladies, please keep in mind that the boat does move on the water, so if wearing high-heels ensure these are a comfortable option.

Yes, there's a swim ladder.

Where can we pickup and dropoff?
King Street Wharf tends to be the most popular wharf, however please advise your preference. Some wharfs like Double Bay, ferries have priority might be a small delay getting in

Are there any additional rules that apply to specific events (eg 21st Birthdays)?
Bucks parties - limited to 3 hour cruises, max 30 guests, no BYO drinks and the latest start time is 1pm.
Some special events require extra crew for safety and security @ $300 - 18th-21st Birthdays, Bucks parties and some 22nd-24th Birthdays without family.No BYO charters Fri/Sat in Dec.

Any other rules the organisers and guests should know?
We do not provide 5 hr cruises for the evening sessions...pre-booked or as an extension on the evening
